Hop aboard a free summer tram ride through Lorain County’s Metro Parks for an easygoing tour of forests, wetlands and gardens.
During the summer, visitors can hitch a ride on golf cart-type vehicles through several of the Lorain County Metro Parks in Northeast Ohio. The rides are first-come, first-serve and typically seat six (except for special Cascade Park waterfall tours, which seat four and require pre-registration). Tours last 15-30 minutes, and riders can see a variety of forests, wetlands and gardens. Tram rides are offered at Black River Reservation’s Days Dam Park in Lorain, Cascade Park in Elyria, Kopf Family Reservation in Avon Lake, Sandy Ridge Reservation in North Ridgeville, Schoepfle Garden in Wakeman and Wellington Reservation. All tours are weather-dependent. loraincountymetroparks.com
