Best Plunge — Saunagoose Cleveland

A new Scranton Peninsula retreat brings Scandinavian sauna culture and cold plunges to Cleveland’s Flats.

With its proximity to downtown and to the Towpath Trail, the Scranton Peninsula in The Flats has become Cleveland’s hottest new area. But Dan and Femke Michael hope to make it one of the coldest. They’re the owners of the new Saunagoose resort, which uses Scandinavian wellness practices to offer rest and relaxation. Among those, as the name implies, will be communal and private saunas — as well as a cold plunge, which is touted for muscle soreness recovery, alertness and mood enhancement. A fall opening is anticipated — just in time for the Cleveland weather to become an asset, founders say.  thesaunagoose.com
