Best Seasonal Show — The Orchard on Catawba or Gideon Owen Wine Co.

These sprawling venues offer year-round fun on Catawba Island in Ohio.

The Orchard on Catawba
Fall: Harvest favorites (apples, peaches, grapes), plus fall-themed wines and foods, are on the menu at the annual Harvest Festival (the last Saturday in September). Cocktails at the Spooky Coop are bewitching.

Winter: “Christmas on Catawba Island” brings twinkling lights, holiday pop-up shops and seasonal sips from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. Try signature cocktails at Cupid’s Coop in February or the Clover Coop in March.

Spring: Brunch is in bloom with Easter and Mother’s Day, along with the Bloomin’ Coop, where you’ll find bountiful flowers and creative cocktails.

Summer: Kick back on the award-winning patio with live music seven days a week. Relax on the 24-acre property with vineyard views and sparkling fountains.

Gideon Owen Wine Co.
Fall: Join in on the September Wine and Lamb event and October’s Adult Trick or Treat. November kicks off the Gideon Owen Holiday Market, featuring glass houses with vendors, fire pits and twinkling lights everywhere.

Winter: Cozy up inside the historic winery around the center-of-the-room fire pit. Feast on winter comfort foods like short ribs and prime rib. Cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc are just right for the season.

Spring: Loads of spring flings — like speakeasies in the cellar, featuring live jazz bands and themed cocktails, plus the Adult Easter Egg Hunt and the Kentucky Derby Celebration.

Summer: Sip wines like the Summer Blush while listening to live music. Enjoy meals made with fresh produce. End summer with Catawba Island Wine Mixer Festival and Market.
