Best New Boutique — Erie & Main

Erie & Main brings a sophisticated, curated take on Coastal decor to Marblehead, with a mix of reclaimed furniture, nautical art and understated lake-inspired pieces.

hile fun, typical Coastal decor can quickly become overdone. There are pillows that proclaim the lake to be “my happy place,” signs instructing you to “go jump in the lake” and an endless lineup of anchors and fish.

Then there’s Erie & Main, which boasts a curated collection of new and reclaimed furniture and accessories that make you feel like you’re on vacation without overtly telling you that you are.

Step into this Marblehead, Ohio, boutique and you’ll find a 500-pound butcher block table that lived for years at the market down the street, oil paintings of old steamers, statement vases decorated with nautical knots, seagrass-and-aloe-scented candles and elegant accent pieces in beachy shades of blue, green and cream — and, yes, just a bit of kitsch in the form of tea towels, T-shirts and items emblazoned with the local zip code.

“I’ve wanted to open a place like this for a long time,” says owner Kim Johnson. “This is everything that I love.” instagram.com/130erieandmain
