I live along Baycrest Beach and have an exstended collection of beach glass. Recently after the new flood wall was installed I found many sizes of a geod/crystal rocks in thecove area that was unearthed and moved around. This is my first contact with the magazine and all of the others who have shared their treasures.

I have had very good luck at Mentor Headlands State Park in Mentor. I get about 100 pieces in about 2 1/2 hours. We have gotten two red pieces, several cobalt and lots of seafoam green. Good luck hunting, I will be there tomorrow.

you need to find a very private beach, sometimes evening climbing over an embankment to find one thats not been picked over by beachcommers.early in the morning before they get out is another good time. Glass is usually among small rocks rather than just in the sand

I've read a lot about this. Does anyone know of a good place in the Cleveland area where I could go with my children to find some? Also, is it the kind of thing where you find a piece every once in a while, or is it relatively easy to do?
