Berry Good
This refreshing smoothie lets blueberries do their thing.
By Colleen Smitek
Bryon Miller
From soaking chia seeds to finding the perfect protein powder, smoothies have become awfully complicated these days. Not at Abers Acres, a certified organic farm in Kennedy, New York, where owner Sue Abers lets just-picked blueberries do their thing. “This is my go-to smoothie every morning,” she says. When berries aren’t in season, Abers will use frozen fruit, but not at this time of year. If you feel a need for your smoothie to be colder, you can always freeze the banana or add a few ice cubes.

1-1½ cups fresh blueberries
½ cup milk of your choice
½ cup plain yogurt
½ banana

Blend all ingredients and enjoy!
